Trip Summary
Trip Summary
Our first spot produced some drag ripping fish! After loosing the first one to structure we finally got to put one in the ice box, and the next drop produced another black drum. Which are one of the best eating fish in the bay. The next 2 drops we caught 2 big ole ground mullet, also excellent eating. The fish turned off for about 20 minutes with no bites. Then bam we was hooked up again. We landed that fish then just like that Mother Nature turned the fan on and we had to leave. Went and tucked behind a jetty and didn't catch no more big fish.
The big bull reds and big black drum (35+pounds) are out at the barrier islands in schools of hundreds. Also fun to sight fish for on light tackle.
