Winter to Spring Transition
February 13, 2024 St. Petersburg 3 photos

Trip Summary

As we begin our transition from winter patterns to spring patterns, a lot starts to happen! Redfish and trout bite continues to stay strong! I am still finding quality tripletail just off the beaches when we can get just a couple miles offshore, weather permitting. As the water temperature starts to rise the snook bite will increase dramatically and continue to strengthen the closer we get to summer. As spring starts to fire off we will see a huge migration of spanish mackerel and kingfish, along with some other hard fighting pelagics! March, April, and May is an amazing time to be fishing near and around Tampa Bay! Numerous species can be expected to be caught during this time of year! Don't miss out!
