Trip Summary

The lake was angry today! SW winds to 28kts made the bite tough. Had to run the kicker in reverse most of the time just to keep the speeds down below 3mph. The #offshoretackle boards were working double duty, skippin n jumping those waves with no problems at all. Father/daughter, Rick and shelby also had no problems at all running in tight to shore to stay protected while putting wallys in the boat. Flicker 9's, potato bread, gold and dark purples. 20 back. 1.5 to 2.5mph. Ruff day but enjoyed every minute of it. Pulled 16

We have run multiple trips out of huron and mazuriks in Marblehead with great catches every trip. The bite is getting better by the day. We no longer have to run offshore the dreaded 23 mile just to get into fish. Some days the fish run smaller and some days the fish run bigger but all in all we have been putting fish in the boat eveytrip unless mother nature with her winds decide to cancel us out for the day.

The bite on lake erie has been outstanding!! My last 10 trips or so have yielded limits every time. As long as the winds play nice, we are catching! Some days are absolutely fast and furiuos and others are a bit slow. Size ranges anywhere from 15inches to 26.5 inches. Im thinking this has been the best year in a long time for numbers of fish and multiple fish pushing the 8-9lb class. OUTSTANDING!!!! FISHERY!!!

We have been doing fantastic!! Limits of walleye almost daily. Yesterday afternoon was a little above average for the folks from Columbus. We made a run away from all the boat traffic and it paid off. Doug and Tina got to box a nice cooler of 20-24" walleye. The next few days are looking bad wind wise but it'll straighten back out.
