Cold Water Slows Fluke Bite BUT....

Trip Summary

With the cold water and fast drifts at the local reefs, the fluke bite slowed a bit this week. While there was still some decent fishing and a keeper or two, most of the best fluke fishing was found inside the Manasquan. However, the cold water made for some interesting catches with several boats, including mine, reeling in some Atlantic Cod. Being out of season, they were safely released, but a fun workout on light tackle for sure!
