If you're ready to discover fishing or cruising the Manasquan River or the Atlantic Ocean off Point Pleasant Beach, book a trip with Fins Up Family Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Mike, which means you'll tap into years of knowledge and experience.

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Flounder, Black Seabass, Bluefish, Striped Bass, Bonito, Crab, Tautog, and whatever else takes the bait. The captain specializes in summer Flounder (Fluke) fishing, and they are only a short cruise to the Axel Carlson and Sea Girt Reefs.

Capt. Mike operates a 23' Walkaround that holds up to 4 passengers for fishing. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures if you don't have your own. There's no need to buy a fishing license, You can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle!

Children are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children under 16 must wear life vests while underway, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain carries up-to-date regulation info so you don't have to worry about remembering the length allowed for every species.

It's recommended to bring snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Excellent trip!
3 Hour - After Work Soak-Mil1stRes on July 20, 20264 adults

Captain Mike was very kind and personable. He reached out to me the moment I booked the trip and answered every question I had. He even refunded me some money because he saw my son was in the Military! Once we were n water, he did everything he could to ensure we each caught something. I would highly recommend Captain Mike!

I grew up on boats. My summer home was on a wooden 32' Pacemaker that my dad owned from the time I was a toddler until my college years. As a teenager, my cousin and I shared a 17' Montauk Boston Whaler which we would take offshore to the extent of its range and do all sorts of fishing. That boat remained in my family long enough to teach my own kids how to fish off of it. For longer Tuna and Shark trips, I would run my father's 36' Delta and more recently, his 42' Post. My current boat is a Wellcraft 230 Coastal, which is a perfect boat for both inshore fishing in the river as well as wreck and drift fishing at the nearby manmade reefs. A fishing trip with me is meant to be relaxing and fun! While the hardcore guys are looking to be ankle-deep in blood, I'm more into enjoying the water, listening to some tunes, getting some sun, having some laughs, and oh yeah, reeling in some fish! My cousin and I always had a saying when we were out on that old Whaler: 'When you're out on the water, there are only good days and great days!'
