Great time of year to target big Everglades tarpon first thing in the morning and then switch modes to fishing the flats and islands for snook, redfish, and juvenile tarpon. Sight fishing can be amazing this time of year due to the low winds and clear skies as we transion into fall fishing!! Went out a few days ago and hooked big tarpon on fly then went and got some great snook on fly! Light tackle spinning and convetional gear will be even more successful. I love to do it all though. Experienced or a beginner this is an amazing fishing destination. Lauching out of Flamingo or Everglades city depending on the weather and type of fishing.
