Light line and finesse presentations are dominating right now. Lake is seeing lots of pressure from anglers. Catching some big fish! Better to get the bites and take our chances with light line then not getting many bites at all. Drop shot, senkos and shaking a small minnow on a jig head seems to be the deal.

Averaging 50 to 100 fish days! Catching big largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass each trip. Fish are up shallow and chewing! The lake is a hidden gem aboutcan hour and 20 away from Clearlake.

Took 2nd in the tournament with 5 fish for 35 lbs this weekend. It took a 5 lb average to cash a check. My partner and i were throwing back 5 lbers at 11 am. We caught an 8,6,6,6 and a 6 for our biggest 5. In 30 years of fishing here, i have never seen the fish so big and healthy. Great time to book a trip.
