The Lake is On Fire!

Trip Summary

The bite has been absolutely on fire! We’re consistently putting 15–20+ fish in the boat every trip, with a great mix of big Hybrids and Striped Bass. Over the weekend, we landed multiple Hybrids over 10 pounds and several Striped Bass pushing 15+ pounds. Water temps have been holding around 69°, but with warmer days ahead, we expect the lake to heat up quickly—and the fishing action should stay just as hot. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get on the water, this is it. The big fish are feeding aggressively, and every trip has been packed with non-stop action. Book your trip with Nashville Fishing Guides today and come experience the madness while the bite is at its peak!

Overview This week has brought thrilling conditions for anglers, with water temperatures reaching a steady 60 degrees alongside the influence of the full moon. These factors have triggered the hybrid stripers into spawn mode, making it a prime time for some incredible catches. The fish have shifted their behavior, moving away from their suspended positions over the main lake river channel and heading toward the shorelines and channel-adjacent flats, where they are now feeding aggressively. We caught fish as fast as we could bait the hook, highlighting the intensity of the bite right now! Fishing Conditions • Water Temperature: 60°F • Moon Phase: Full Moon • Fish Activity: High – Hybrids in spawn mode, actively feeding • Location: Shorelines and channel-adjacent flats Target Species • Hybrid Striped Bass: The stars of this week, with sizes ranging from 10 to 12 pounds, and occasional stripers making an appearance. • Best Time to Fish: Now is the ideal window for targeting trophy fish, as the spawning activity peaks. Tips for Success Focus on trolling or still-fishing techniques along the shorelines and channel-adjacent flats where the hybrids are concentrated. Use live bait or lures trolled at the right depth to target these actively feeding fish, especially near drop-offs or structure. The full moon is boosting their feeding activity, so early morning or late evening sessions could maximize your chances. Be ready for a strong fight with these hefty 10-12 lb. fish! Outlook The current conditions suggest that the next few days will remain excellent for trophy hunting. As the spawn progresses, monitor water temperature trends and adjust your trolling or bait placement strategy accordingly. This is a fantastic opportunity to land a prize catch, so make the most of it! Tight lines and happy fishing!
