Mahi have been showing up in good numbers, and our recent 8-hour trip proved it. We kicked things off by spotting a nice cow mahi under birds — pitched a live pilchard and she crushed it immediately. After putting her in the box, we switched it up and went on the troll. That move paid off — we ran into a school of mahi and started pitching more live pilchards, keeping them fired up around the boat. The action was steady and fun, and we ended the day with 15 mahi in the cooler.
