Captain showed up early so we got as much time on the water as possible. The ship was clean and ready to go when we got there. Most of all even after saying we may not catch anything, which any fisherman knows is a possibility, we still landed a barracuda and a Mahi Mahi. The waters were a little rough and there were a couple rain showers during our trip, Captain Jiji still kept us dry and stable through it all. Other than more fish, we couldn’t have asked for more. So we started the day with a surprise time change (ship time vs. local time). I quickly communicated with the Captain and we worked through the meeting time. Easy and quick communication! He waited on us to pass through the gate in Amber Cove and after a quick drive we were at the boat. Great overview of the day and we headed out. We were warned the water was rough, but thought we were tough enough. We were not after 2 hours and decided to head back in. The crew was incredibly patient between running the lines and taking care of the few that weren’t up to the waves. With all that going on, still brought in a barracuda to close out the day. Got some pictures and we were back on the van headed back to the port. All in all, a great day on the water and some memories in the DR.

Stopped at Amber cove on a cruise, was picked up right outside the port by Dona Nina fishing crew. About an hour into the trip we started catching fish! Tuna, wahoo, and 2 sailfish!! The captain and first mate both said it was very rare to catch 2! Couldn’t thank them enough, they really do run a great operation! Was dropped back off at the cruise port after the day was over. Memories to last a lifetime! The waves are pretty good size so the fishing boat does move around and can make people sick but we didn’t have any problems at all, but be prepared to feel the ocean. Will absolutely go back!! Thanks again Dona Nina fishing!

Started out with a professional presentation of what to expect on the trip. Beautiful boat, very clean and handled the waves with grace. Jose was first hand and stayed on top of changing the lures and bait until we caught the fish. We caught a 40 plus lb 4 foot Mai Mai male bull and two female Mai Mai. To get the variety we even caught a Wahoo and are going to eat that tonight. the whole trip was great and will return.

This company made it so smooth and easy from the planning before I had even left the US to out on the ocean. Very professional and very fun. We did a half day trip and got into three mahi mahi. We had a great day on the water. Wish I would’ve done a full trip with these guys and if I ever end up back in thr DR I’ll spend my money with them again.
