Very knowledgable crew. Slow day for all boats in fleet and we caught a nice sailfish When we booked the trip it did say snacks and drinks would be included which was not correct Capitan Juanโs boat was pretty basic.ย No toilet or cabin but you get what you pay for
Friendly accommodating crew but a fairly passive and uninvolved fishing experience. Might have been the language barrier, but our captain and crewman were silent the entire 3 hours where a little effort would have gone a long way (we did most of the talking/asking).
Our expectations might have been misplaced. Your involvement in fishing is only reeling in the fish, otherwise youโre sat down and to yourself. I was hoping to learn a little more about how to properly fish, cast a line out, reel, etc.
In the end we caught 5 fish which was great. Mind you the crew doesnโt clean the fish for you. Thatโs something done at shop nearby for a price.

We had an amazing day With The two Crew guys! They speak flawless english, so you can actually be part of all The processes, that are crucial when cathing Big Billfish! They had snacks, drinks, a lovely boat, GREAT gear and every gram of knowledge they need. We saw Humpback whales, dolphines and sea turtles! We caught a 45 kilo striped marlin and three Mahi Mahis and everyone felt like this trip was worth every penny. Iโm not told by him to say this, but as a foreigner in another country, itโs always difficult to figure these trips out. I booked it at 10pm in the evening and he answered after 5 minutes and next morning we met them at the beach and sailed out (instead of waiting with all the tourists, who is going on 15 person trips ๐๐ผ This was a real pleasure - if you are in Puerto Escondido and wanna have a good time fishing - this is your guy!!

Looked at several charters and this one just felt right , especially based on the boat.
Absolutely no regrets. The captain and his mate were very friendly, maintained a nice clean boat, and were very experienced in all aspects of fishing.
They also went out of their way to take a look at some sea turtles and run with some dolphins.
Will use them again when we come back next year.
Would give them six stars if possible

Still, I felt that this crew against all others was working *in my interest* to seek out and actually catch fish. Too often are fish caught in the first hour and no more after, or nothing until the last hour of the day.
