I booked a trip entitledโ Big Gameโ that described offshore fishing for Wahoo, Tuna, Sailfish and Mahi Mahi - trolling. We did not fish for any of these. We did catch snapper and trigger fish. While we did catch fish the trip was nothing that was described. When asked I was told these fish are migratory and hard to catch. This was not discussed with us in advance. The capt offered to โ make it rightโ if we come back and apologized for miscommunication. When I read the St. Augustine fishing reports - Wahoo and Tuna are โ biting wellโ. We will never know this trip :( The mistake I did make was not talking to the capt on the phone and relying on believing the information provided to me when I booked the trip.ย The trip was for my husbandโs birthday so I did not want to upset the day but we were very disappointed as the trip was nothing that was described. The Capt has indicated he will change the description of the 8 and 10 hour trips. I highly suggest having a discussion in advance and not going off the website nor the confirmation received.
