Very enjoyable trip with Capt Billy. I’d say he managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat. We should not have been able to catch fish on a day like today, but Billy found the bait and put us on a huge King Mackerel and a very nice Spanish. It was a rough ride home but Billy got us in safely despite the rough seas and storm that came out of nowhere.

Worth every penny! The Captain was very friendly and made a point to interact with each person. He was invested in making this a great experience for all of us. We would highly recommend the drive from Jekyll Island to take this charter. My kids and I had an awesome time making some unforgettable memories. This outing was better than expected.

Great experience!  We both caught big fish- King Mackeral and Spanish Mackeral.  Biggest fish we’d ever caught, which was the captain’s goal.  Brand new twin 150 hp outboards made the trip an exciting adventure. The captain was agreeable and knowledgeable about Darien. Rods and tackle were good quality.  He stopped on the way out and gathered some menhaden or pogys to use as bait. We saw sea turtles- once quite close! I caught a small shark which was fun.  Couple of things to know- take your seasick meds if you have that difficulty.  I took mine and still got a bit green in the rolling seas. Crackers helped.  Next, be ready and able to stand a lot.  This was a bit problematic for me as I have muscular dystrophy and very poor balance.  Capt Billy did make great efforts to help me out- a structured bean bag was my spot.  Still it was hard for me to pull in big fish from a seated position.  For 99% of you all it won’t be problematic but I mention it for other disabled adventurers. Capt Billy prefers off shore or near shore (we were 6 miles out) rather than inshore as you catch ‘bigger better fish’.  He was excited to help us pull in our fish and was encouraging and positive when I lost a couple.  He was very patient with both of us and we were appreciative of his efforts.

Had an awesome time today out on the water with the Captain.  Fish on more than not!  Open water and able to take home fresh fish for dinner.  Absolutely recommend!!!

1st of all he took us out on Christmas Eve!  Amazing time he is a great captain, kept us on the fish and we caught 21 in a half day!  Best fishing trip we’ve been on.
