We have used fishing booker several times with success. I enjoy the reviews and now even the interviews of the Captains and owners. Of course it is always approached with the expectation that it is “fishing” and not “catching” and some outings are better than others when it comes to how many you catch. This trip was pretty light. It was a cold day so we elected to delay by an hour and ended up with 3 hour trip. It was our choice to delay but was mostly because we didn’t want to be too cold as being in Florida meant not as prepped with cold weather gear and I didn’t want to drop a lot of money buying new gear (will bring it next time). We were warned of this in the check-in call the day before and were told to be prepped for cold weather (BTW cold is below 60 degrees in FL on the water) It was 57 F when we launched. The trip was moved to Manatee River due to Red Tide. That was fine but it did require additional driving to location about 30 minutes further. We had a little success to start (2 fish) but conditions weren’t ideal. We didn’t get blanked! Cold and colder water vs. earlier in the week. Captain Sam was friendly and open about the conditions. The one hour delay helped with the sun coming up a bit higher in the sky and being a bit warmer. This time of year, 8am is barely after sunrise and if cloudy it will be barely light (the first week after the time change). If we scheduled again it would be in the afternoon vs. morning in March. I would recommend this trip, captain Sam, and company. Overall, getting the chance to spend time with my young adult sons fishing is worth it every time even if the only thing we catch is time together.

My 8 year old son and I booked a 1/2 day offshore this past Saturday. We met the Capt right on time at the dock and headed out. Great clean boat! Baited/fueld up ready to go. We got offshore and the weather did not corporate at all. We had steady 3-4ft waves at 1-2 seconds apart, we fished it for as long as we could but had to make the run back to inshore due to the wind. My son and I totally understand the weather is under no one’s control. We made it inshore and fished a few different spots, with the last being the most productive. I felt like everything possible was done to help us try to catch fish. My son did land a small reef fish while we were offshore and that made the trip worth it for me. Highly recommend!

We had a great day thanks to Capts Sam and Kevin.  it could have been a disaster and I was a little worried, cold weather and high seas, so I wasn’t sure if the charter would even happen let alone get some good fishing, but Sam was very honest about what we could and could not stay out for and he took us straight to where he thought we’d have our best fishing.  we had a great time and were catching fish within minutes of reaching our first spot.  very patient and easy going and also excellent communication in the 2-3 days before the charter.  highly recommended!

Equipment and crew were excellent. They accommodated everyone with exceptional service. Never had to wait on bait. Kept us on fish the entire time and explained many aspects of salt water fishing to the teenage boys in our party. Captain Kevin and first mate Kale were top notch. We will definitely be back to fish with this charter again. Book these guys with total confidence!

This was on our “bucket list”. It was an AMAZING time for my daughter, granddaughters, and me!  Kevin was so accommodating, informative, and helpful- especially baiting the hooks for the squeamish ones on board 🤣. We will definitely do this again (hopefully with Captain Kevin).
