I’m going to give my super critical points 1st to get that out of the way. 1) While we were there early as requested, the mate was running late so we couldn’t leave until 6:20am and the time wasn’t added onto the backend. 2) DISCLAIMER: this 1st impression has a big BUT….. the Capt. and 1st mate were both young. 21 and 22 I believe they said. That being said…. While we were ALL apprehensive, it lasted a short bit of time. These boys without a doubt know EXACTLY what they were doing. Our raised eyebrow was very quickly at ease. With us having boat and water experience, it wasn’t even a question as they displayed their knowledge, safety, and professionalism beautifully. Well done young men. Well done. You could visibly see their level of experience on the water and as parents of a son the same age….. it was a trip of pride over how they handled themselves. We were thoroughly impressed.
We caught 15 fish to bring home. Plenty to split between households and freeze for a minute. All Spanish except for 1 blue. Would have liked to go out farther than the coast line however you can not ever control the water and it was just more beneficial to stay closer for a more consistent catch. Again, another display of their knowledge and professionalism as they knew that.
Filleted our fish with ease perfectly. No fish was wasted due to hack jobs. Again…. Showing experience. Would book again. Will book again. As locals, happy to support and looking forward to see these young men continue to grow in they’re craft.
It was wonderful grasping a few moments of precious time with family.

We had a blast. While fishing can be hit and miss, the captain put us in a spot to catch what we could. Ended up with a great day and the crew just made the day better as they communicated great

Super fun, caught 46 fish. Primarily caught Black Sea bass snapper and grunts. Ocean was rocky and they warned us but didn’t force us to go up river despite that, so we were really grateful for that. Highly recommend this crew and style of fishing!

Chartered the SS Fish Witch ll for a 4 hour am nearshore fishing trip.  The captain and mate were awesome!  The boat is large and roomy and feels very seaworthy and safe.  We caught lots of Spanish mackerel and a few bluefish!  My 14 year old son was with us and they were very patient with him and he learned a lot about fishing and had a blast!!  Highly Recommended!  We will be back for more!

These guys were awesome. Treated my family (husband & wife with 4 boys (4,7,12,18)) like we were part of their family.  Captain moved us multiple times to make sure we had opportunities and Nate was on top of his game making sure we had the bait we needed and fish were being taken off the hooks as quick as he could.  We will be back!!!
