Sadly, this was a joke of a fishing charter. It was an expensive boat ride. Starting out, we had to go get the bait on our own charter time on the way to our first fishing spot. First spot we stopped they gave us our rods and they were Walmart ugly sticks with poor reels. Low quality light weight stuff. Only tackle was a sinker and a hook to bottom fish. The first spot produced a couple tiny fish and plenty of cleaning vegetation off our tackle after each drop. This was the deepest spot at maybe 10 - 20 ft of water. The next few spots were short lived at maybe 20 minutes spent not getting any bites. More vegetation at every spot….lines sinkers hooks bait covered. The last spot out on the water we fished was about 4 ft of water with no luck. Then on the way in at the end of the trip, they stopped us next to a metal retaining wall under a bridge. It was the tourist type last stop where we caught about 10 or so pier fish a little bigger than the hand (few junk catfish too) Seems that was the finale where they could leave you with a good attitude that you caught some fish at the end of the day for the last 20 min before docking up. Keep in mind I rented a 20 dollar rod the day prior and caught the same type and size of fish on a free fishing pier. Very disappointing experience with this charter. It is NOT a fishing charter, this is a boat road with the ability to wet a line for those that are not really looking to fish and take home their catch from the day. We spent 75% of the time boating and 25% time with line in the water. Sorry to leave a bad review but I wasted money so hopefully you don’t have to.

Sorry that you had a tough day of fishing, we always work hard to give our customers the best possible experience…. however, some days the fish just won’t cooperate. Especially on a 4 hour inshore trip during the heat of the day. Therefore, we have to relocate often and keep looking for more active fish. And, our inshore fishing gear consist of Penn reels and light-med action 6 1/2 ft fiberglass rods.
Caught a big one but not sure my fillets equaled my catch?
