We booked two back to back fishing trips with Jose and it was a wonderful experience! If you would like to learn the tips of fishing off the waters of LaPaz he was a great guide. He was always quick to respond and was very knowledgeable. We had some nice catches and the marina cooked them for us which was excellent. We also saw dolphins, humpback whales, sea lions and the area beaches. You get the real Baja expierence fishing with Jose and LaShina and would highly recommend!
We had a great day with Captain Blas! Service was very good, they even came closer to our location on the Malecon to pick us up and were early. Captain Blas spent time helping each of us learn to set the brake and hook, allowing us to be very hands on. I donโt think all Captainโs operate this way and if you are an avid fisherman you know how you want to be involved. Had some great burritoโs compliments of Blasโ mother. We ended up getting our limit of 8 Dorado and also managed one Bonito. It sounded like a few boats may have caught a few bigger fish but not sure if most limited out. For anyone reading lower reviews about โextraโ costs. If you spend a little time researching and reading, there are NO โextraโ or hidden costs. It clearly states you pay for bait and have to buy a fishing license. Some charters may include this but their overall cost may be more than what you pay here even after you buy the bait and license. Just take some time to read what you are getting from any and all charters. All in all, we were satisfied enough that we left the wives behind and took a 2nd half day trip. That day was a little slower for Dorado but still managed 3 and 5 Skipjack.

Thank you very much for recommending us, we always try to do our best work and we will be here when you want to come back and continue enjoying a great day of fishing. Greetings!
The first two hours we fished for bait, which I thought wouldโve been great because my six-year-old had never caught any fish and since youโre fishing for mackerel itโs a good experience for the kid, but you got the sense that captain did not want anyone else fishing. I duplicated his rig And I eventually also caught bait and handed it off to the kid so he got some fun time catching , but there are two hours lost fish. Big area but all charter boats crammed into small area. Did see whales and a turtle which was great

Blas was a great captain! He took us out where we caught our own bait fish to start the day.ย Sadly it was slim pickings for all the boats but he tried his best to get us a fish in 4 different areas.ย Although we didnโt catch anything worth keeping it was the best fishing trip weโve had. He supplied breakfast burritos made by his Mama along with water. Iโd highly recommend Blas and La Shina sports fishing.
Booking was really easy. Communication with the captain was good. Captain knew what he was doing when it came to targeting fish. I mentioned in the morning we would love to get into some dorados and hopefully a marlin. We managed to hook into 2 dorados and also luckily got a marlin!! Really fun day, will book again when we come back. Thanks Eduardo!
