Unfortunately the fish weren’t biting—fishing is fishing, not catching—but every effort was made by Manu to find them. No reef or drop-off was left unvisited, and we covered some serious nautical miles in search of action. Despite some challenging conditions, Manu demonstrated excellent boat handling throughout.

He was also very accommodating when my partner and I wanted to visit a local beach, and overall made the trip easy and enjoyable. Very sociable, great company, and clearly committed to giving us the best possible chance of success. I would absolutely book again—100%.

We also did a tour on Monday, and honestly we would have preferred to just go fishing again. Even that felt like the tour version of what we experienced out on the water—having rods out just made it way more enjoyable.

From start to finish, everything was brilliantly organised. The captain arranged our hotel pickup (for a small extra cost) and sorted our ferry tickets over to Nusa Lembongan, making the whole experience seamless. Communication was very good.

We had a fantastic day on the water and managed to land two solid mack tuna before my son unfortunately came down with a bit of seasickness, which meant we had to head back earlier than planned. Even so, it didn’t take away from what was a great trip.

The captain went above and beyond, arranging for us to catch an earlier ferry back to the mainland and coordinating our driver so we weren’t left waiting around. Despite the seasickness, it was an excellent experience overall, and I’d happily recommend this charter to anyone looking for a well-run and memorable fishing adventure in Bali.

Manu scheduled pick up and drop off from our resort in Jimbaran, Bali. We managed to catch a Mak Tuna. My stepfathers 70th so it was well worth it. We went around in an local fishermans boat. I had no motion sickness as the waters were calm. Manu also arranged us to go back earlier. You can choose to cook at the resturant or in our case, we took it to Jimbaran Fish Market to cook and then go back to the hotel.

We had a great time on the water with Captain Manu. Manu took us to many spots as we trolled. We managed to catch a tuna which we had for dinner that night. Thanks so much Manu!

If you are unsure whether to book Manu for a good fishing day out, I’d highly suggest you do so. 3 tuna within 30mins was an absolute rush, all transport was sorted and very smooth even though we lived a fair bit away. And was cheaper then if we were to sort travel ourselves. Can’t wait for our next trip with manu!
