Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Tortugas and beyond with Andrew and his first mate Cal. It was a full day customized adventure. First stop was Dry Tortugas with Andrew as our personal tour guide before the crowd of tourists from ferries got there. It was an awesome tour. Then, to make my daughter happy his next stop was at a reef so we could all snorkel and see some pretty amazing fish. Then we bottom fished (caught a hug grouper and yellow jack) on the way to mahi fish (caught 40!!!!) It was definitely the highlight of our entire Key West trip. We would all highly recommend Hillbilly Hookers for anyone wanting to have a fun day catching fish.

This fishing charter went above and beyond exceeding all my expectations!!! We loved the boat and Captain Andrew and First Mate Calvin were the BEST!!! We caught AMAZING fish while having so much fun!!! It was a great trip for our young boys as well as for us too! We experienced lots of saltwater fish in the most beautiful clear waters of the Keys. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely book Hillbilly Hooker again ASAP!!! We LOVED it!!!

After catching bait in the morning and heading out to sea, on the second stop we caught four mahi-mahi. Not great big ones but good ones that were fun to catch and very pretty. Came back into about 200 for the water and on the second wreck we fished I hooked into a 30# reef donkey that really put up a fight. Put a New Bait out And hooked into a about a 25 pound mutton snapper. Immediately put out another bait and hooked into another 25 pound reef donkey and after these three fish I was wore out! All this time we were kite fishing for sailfish with no luck. Ended up moving a little shallower on the roof and catching numerous reef species and had a hammerhead shark take a bait under the Kite put out for sailfish. Had an outstanding experience and plenty of meat to take home and we’ll do this again in the future!

Great experience on this trip.  Captain has excellent communication and promptly answered questions both before and after the trip.  Professional and friendly demeanor.  Captain Andrew showed great knowledge of the area and marine life we encountered.  He did a great job of meeting the needs of all participants, from kids to teenagers and adults (varying skill levels and physical strength).  Andrew allowed us to be as hands-on or hands-off as we desired.  Boat comfortably fished our 6 person party with room to spare, and had a bathroom which was a plus.  Plenty of storage out of the way for our bags plus he provided an ice chest with bottled water for out trip.  There was never a dull moment and we caught a ton of fish.  We really enjoyed our time on the boat and it was the highlight of our Key West vacation.

Captain Andrew and Noah were great. We were chasing fish all day and had a lot of success. On Andrew’s recommendation, we took our catch to the Hurricane Hole for them to prepare. Great way to end the day. Would definitely recommend Hillbilly Hookers!
