Had a really good day out we managed to catch 1 sailfish made the trip, not much else was caught that day though :)

We were disappointed with or trip on 4/24. To start capt roberto was not with us on the trip. Now, we all understand that there’s not always fish around but the 2 guys that were on the boat didn’t seem to be putting in much effort and there effort decreased as the trip went on, we started out trolling five lines and by the end they had just one line in the water, at times they seamed inexperienced, getting the lines tangled and unsure how they wanted to bait a hook. I’ve been on trips before where the fishing was slow, but on those trips the crew always mixed it up and trying everything to get on the fish, yesterday we only trolled around with different baits and lures.  They didn’t chance up much and Didn’t seam to be talking to the other boats out fishing.  Also the guys were often on their phones and were not watching the water. When we asked about switching up the fishing they told us that we should have booked the full day trip if we wanted to catch fish. On the positive side the picked us up at our hotel (the riu) and after we we have given up on the fishing they told us we could spend the rest of our time at any beach we wanted. They took us to coco beach and one of the guys got off the boat and showed us around.  After the trip I messaged with Roberto, who offered a half day beach trip but we had already left town.

The deck hand worked hard but in 8 hours only catching 3 fish is beyond disappointing for the money paid. Not to mention the 3 caught were not the targeted fish. This is by far the most disappointing fishing trip I’ve had for that length of time and that few of fish. The captain didn’t seem to know what to do.
