Ben is the man!!  Put me and my 3 kids on the fish right away.  We relocated multiple times to stay hot and he was a gentleman the entire time.  Patient with the boys and always evaluating our best chances for fish.  Support your Veterans and get on this man’s boat.  You won’t be disappointed.

The weather was challenging but we still caught Grouper, Yellow Jack, Grunter, and a mess of Snapper that we made the best fish tacos out of. Hooked into a monster Tarpon that we faught for over 45 minutes till it broke me off in the Mangroves. Overall it was a great day of fishing! 👍🏻

Perfect day out on the flats. We caught 15 different species in 3/4 day trip, and all around amazing experience. Fish on almost every cast. Nice mix of fish to put on the plate. Finished up the day targeting Barracuda which was so much fun. Definitely book with Captain Ben if you get the opportunity!

Captain Ben is the kind of guy that the first time you meet him you feel as though you have been friends for years. Very knowledgeable on the flats and had us on fish within 5 minutes of getting to the spot. It was a full moon the night before which can make conditions difficult but by 10am we had caught more snapper and snook then we could count. Captain Ben worked his tail off all afternoon to get us on some bones and permits but it wasn’t to be as the bite completely shut down around noon. That happens sometimes and there isn’t much you can do about it but the morning more than made up for it. The trip would have been a success if we didn’t land a single fish but that wasn’t the case. Give Ben a shot and I promise you will be thankful you did.

Captain Ben called prior to our trip and asked what our expectations were. Catching a Tarpon was very high on my list. I knew that it was very early in the season, Capt. Ben explained that as well, but said we would try as some fish had started moving in.
The bite was tough today. He worked his tail off to make it happen, but no Tarpon. But, thats fishing. All in all, he still put us on some great fishing, was very informative and worked really hard to ensure that we enjoyed our trip.
Captain Trainer is also very passionate about veterans, something we both share as we are both Marines. He cares about his clients wants and knows what he is doing. He went the extra mile to take care of us and thats about as good a compliment as I can give.
I can, without reservation, highly recommend Capt Trainer to anyone who wants to experience backcountry Keys fishing.
