What an awesome trip. My son was so excited. Captain John and first mate Hunter were awesome with helping and teaching and giving tips on what to do. And understanding we were late due to traffic. Can’t wait to book for next year. Highly recommend to book them if you want to enjoy a charted fishing trip. My husband Shawn, son legend ( it was his birthday) , Ryan and Landon were speechless when the trip was over. Thank you again bottom bouncers!!!

Not only was this trip a good deal, we had a great time!! We had booked it for 7:00 A.M., but Captain John was in contact with me the night before and asked if we could leave an hour later to avoid bad fishing at “dead low tide.” I’m glad he did. The last hour of fishing was by far the best. We decided to go out on the ocean initially because the tide was still very low, even at 8:30 A.M. or 9:00 A.M. We caught a few small bass, some Pig Fish (they literally make an oinking sound which I didn’t know until this trip) and beautiful small Pin Fish, but some in our party felt a little seasick because the ocean was a bit choppy that day. So we went back into the bay, and Captain John took us to a place near a small island that he said was like a fish highway. He was right!! I caught a Puffer Fish, my son caught a Robin Fish (has fins that are big like wings), my Brother-in-Law caught a sizeable Trout and my Sister caught a sizeable Flounder on the very last cast of the trip. It was an amazing day of fishing and we all caught something unique. Captain John and the 1st Mate, Hunter, were first rate, especially with my autistic son. They let him be 2nd Mate, and bait hooks, and drop the anchor and de-hook his own fish. They let him hang out in the Captain’s quarters and even when there was a lull in the fishing when we first came back into the bay, Captain John reeled in a Ribbon Fish to keep my son entertained. I bring it up because he had caught it earlier that morning before our trip, but pretended to catch it again just to entertain my Son and it worked!! And it must’ve been good luck because the fishing after that in the last hour was fantastic. I can’t say enough about Captain John and the Bottom Bouncer. 2 thumbs up!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I’ve been on charter boats in Hawaii, Costa Rica, Florida, Cali, up and down the eastern shore and Captain John and Hunter are THE best charter crew I’ve fished with. They tailored the trip to our needs, and produced some great fish for us. My kids especially enjoyed the fast-paced Croaker fishing and working at Stingray. The Bottom Bouncer is a great boat too, big deck with plenty of motor to get you on fish quick. Every spot we hit was productive. But what really shined was John and Hunters knowledge of the water and their good natured humor, especially with the kids. I am looking forward to more trips with these two in the future.

This was an AMAZING fishing trip we had so much fun and caught many fish.  We had not been fishing for a great many years which is to say that our experience level was basically zero and Capt. John and Hunter (First Mate) were simple the BEST that anyone could ask for as they were fun to be around as wells a greatly involved in make sure that we learned what we needed in addition to being extremely knowledgeable.

We highly recommend them to anyone that is either serious about fishing or were more like us in wanting to make some memorable and lasting family memories.  In either case, you just cannot go wrong with this wonderful team.

We will definitely go fishing again with them in the near future.

John and Hunter were great guides. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. We caught a 9ft shark within 5 minutes of landing on the fishing grounds, and another as soon as round two began. If you are fishing for the big ones these are the guys you want to book your trip with.
