Got two marlin and lots of mahi mahi. Tons of fun.
Captain was amazing and knowledgeable, the company on the other hand should know better. First we went from San Jose all the way back to Cabo to fish, then had a small ice chest for the fish. We caught 4 tunas and a dorado. 2 of the tunas did not fit in the chest and was on the deck the whole time. The lid couldn’t even close. I personally think they do this on purpose to return back sooner. On 2 of the fish the skin started to slip with the heat.
Of course we didn’t do it on purpose that day, the ice box on the boat to put fish in it is big, someone took it without our permission. I’m also glad you had a good fishing experience. And caught a lot of fish in one day and it was the best catch of the day. Thank you very much for not recommending something that was insignificant to all the service provided and worked on by our team.

A great trip if you want to learn how to fish yourself rather than it all being done for you. Was a little concerned at first over the size and type of boat but quickly realized it would not be detrimental to our experience. Hollywood was a fantastic guide and determined that we would catch a fish. Landed a nice Jack Toro on live bait. The only thing I would advise is to take a seat cushion as it gets a bit sore sitting for five hours on a fiberglass seat.
Today - Caught 11 fish, lost 2. Brought in 8 rooster fish and one mackerel. Loved it so much we are rebooking for tomorrow with the same captain. Highly recommend. Just book it.
Though Captain “Hollywood” tried really hard to get me into some fish it was not to be. We had 4 hits from what seemed to be Dorado but no hookups. He introduced me to the skills of a deckhand and I learned something about lure and bait presentations. As an longtime and experienced fisherman, I know and appreciate the difference between fishing and catching and they are not synonymous, but one can enjoy one as much as the other! I had a good time and hope to return.
