Most of our crews here are highly skilled fishermen, but they do not always have strong English – their strongest “language” is fishing itself.

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience, and we want to clarify some important details. At Daliken Sportfishing, we only operate private fishing charters — we never offer shared trips. What happened that morning was a misunderstanding during check-in: our staff member Felipe was helping guests board their correct boats, and unfortunately, you boarded the wrong vessel that was already assigned to another group. This mix-up caused confusion, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience it may have caused.

Your reservation was for a 4-hour private charter, which is typically focused on inshore fishing due to time limits. Although you requested to target marlin, that species usually requires longer trips offshore. Still, our captain made every effort to adjust and focus on marlin for you, using the most effective trolling method available. However, as you may know, fishing does not guarantee results — there are days when even the best techniques yield no catch.

Regarding the payment: the $180 was your balance due on the day of the trip, not an overcharge. Your deposit was paid directly to FishingBooker, which retains a commission from it — we do not receive that portion. Additionally, licenses are $20 per person and bait is $30 per trip, as clearly communicated in our listings and emails. We are always transparent with our prices and charges.

We understand your frustration and regret that your honeymoon trip didn’t go as expected. But we assure you that we take pride in our service, boats, and captains — and we are committed to constant improvement.
