thank you and we look forward to seeing you again
It was a fine time. Captain Carlos knows the local waters inside and out. We had an unusually windy day after the first 2 hours. The first mate, Axel, was not friendly at all. One word answers. Just generally not enthusiastic. This was not a question of language barrier or shyness. I have fished in Costa Rica many times and got the vibe from him like he had better things to do than to be out on the water with a father and his 2 thirteen year old sons. Odd huh? I could tell you that if we were a group of pretty ladies this diamond ear studded guy would have been all smiles offering umbrella drinks. Engine died 2 times but was quickly fixed each time. No live well. Our one fish was put in a 5 gallon bucket. Ended the trip with a 7 inch snapper and complimentary ceviche plate from the captain with some Doritos. In fairness fishing excursions are hit and miss. This captain does get his days of hits for sure. For me the this was a miss.

The captain provided Costa rica style Sashimi! It was awesome!
I don’t think it was the best day of fishing but I always try to make sure everything goes well and this is what we were able to catch and I think it’s not bad, it’s bad not to catch anything
