Sometimes that how it goes. We caught a lot of fish getting hits on almost every cast so it was constant engagement but we only hooked one legal to take. Matthew was a fantastic captain that was easy to talk to, very attentive to bait, and fantastic with helping out our 10 and 8 yr old. His boat is amazing with plenty of room for our 6. Would recommend him to anyone!

Matt and Ky were great to fish with. Very attentive and very helpful. Matt made sure we found the right spot to catch fish and we got to experience catching different types of fish. He recommended a local restaurant that would cook our catch and everything turned out great. If we were to book again, I’d definitely choose Nautilus.

My wife and 8 year old son fished with Capt. Matt mid March and had a great day catching Sheepshead on the jetty then catching two black drum at the end of the trip. Captain. Matt was great with our son and was helpful and knowledgeable about the fishery and gave us a great recommendation for a “ hook and cook” restaurant to serve us a fantastic meal that night. If we ever find ourselves in Galveston again would definitely book again.

We are fishing beginners who took a first time family fishing trip and Matthew was a great captain and fisherman. He found the best spots where we were constantly catching fish. He is a very experienced and had everything we needed for a great time fishing. We can’t wait to go back.
