Communication to set up was good. They were friendly.  Boat we took was not what I expected but it was a bass like boat.  They changed the original time scheduled. It was moved up to noon instead of 1. They said fishing was better than 1.  We arrived on time.  They said sorry boat is not here it’s on a rescue mission our other boat broke down.  It will be about 45 min.  We left at one.  Thought boat had some shade but no shade. Not a biggy but would of been nice.  We left only with shrimp bait.  We were told fridge broke and fish went bad.  Our guide took us out tried to catch bait but had no success. After that he drove to put up several bait traps all empty we were stuck with just shirmp.  I asked weren’t you suopse to have bait before you go out. He said yes but had to help other boat and fridge broke.  I wanted to fish flats for snook and grouper fish but he said they had no bait for that.  So we used shrimp and went to several locations but we just kept catching small pond like catfish about 10 and 2 or 3 small stingrays.  The guide was nice I tipped him as well.  I think they weren’t even expecting that.
I bought 2 shirts when I left @ 40$ each. And in the end they gave me one for free. Florida was in a red tide maybe that was it. But I did leave very disappointed.  No real fish catch $  450. Down the drain.  I’m from Tx and go fishing often with crank bait and I Catch much larger fish in my lake.  Bass and walleye.  My wife and granddaughter enjoyed catching some fish. If it wasn’t for that I would’ve been totally disappointed. That was the only highlight.

This is not a knock on Captain Dustin. I don’t know if the error was from Fishingbooker or Poseidon. The boat was supposed to have some shade and a small toilet and it didn’t.  I was looking for a fishing charter with a boat that offered these features as I was taking a couple of senior citizens. Unfortunately, it was really hot day and they had to drink a lot of water. It wasn’t a good experience for theses folks. I was warned that the cheap price of this charter would equal the experience and it was true.

1 hour out and 1 hour back.  Two hours fishing was fun but we were wet and cold from the beginning.  Got back soaked and freezing and miserable.  Weather is not controllable but should have picked an alternate destination to avoid rough and wet conditions.
