Great trip with family.ย Despite a slow fishing day just in general for all charters, we had a lot of fun. Captain Richard was doing everything he could to make sure we found fish.ย Cool guy to hang out with and had plenty of stories and knowledge to share about the area, fish we did catch and recipes to use with our catch.ย Canโt wait to try the fish tacos.ย He even went over on our time by almost a half hour to offset the slow fishing.ย Will definitely be back
Captain Bubba and Joe were a lot of fun , they both put us on fish and were on spot with baiting lines and assistance when due to my own self inflicted mishaps were there to help intangle or fish pole out of jetty ! lol . They were curtious thru it all very fun trip even in weather, made huge effort to fish when keeping passengers safe . Salty Rods Fishing Charters is a Top Notch fishing operation. Not only were they very professional and courteous, but Captain Bubba and Cheryl had us on fish the whole time we were on the boat. They are very knowledgeable about all the species of fish we fished for, but they kept it simple, as to keep it a relaxed atmosphere. Landed a couple keeper Sea Trout, but the real treat was what we used the bait fish for. We hooked and landed to real nice big BlackTip Reef Sharksโฆ...... Whoooaaa (What A Fight)!!!! This trip was one one of the the best experiences for our family. We took our two boys (8 and 11). Captain JoJo was is very down to earth and makes you feel more like a friend than a client. If you are a first time fisherman, Captain JoJo makes you feel comfortable, helps when needed, and explains things clearly while keeping a fun environment. He goes above and beyond. My boys had a blast and caught so many fish.
The owners were very accommodating. Due to the weather, Bubba and Cheryl kept in constant contact since we coming from out of town.
