Ready for your next big fishing adventure in the Gulf of Mexico? Salty Rods Charters is the charter for you! This family owned business focuses on faith, family, and friends. With them, not only will you catch fish, you will make memories that last a lifetime!
The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 28’ Century boat that accommodates up to 6 guests, including kids of all ages. There’s safety and navigational equipment on the boat at all times, and she also features a live bait tank. On some trips, you’ll be joined by the first mate as well, and he’ll make sure that your rod is always ready for a new fish to hook.
From the Galveston ship channel, the bay, and jetties, to the close offshore rigs, the Salty Rods crew offers multiple different trips just to suit you. Depending on the season and trip, you’ll often target Redfish, Trout, Shark, Stingray, King Mackerel, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, Amberjack, and more.
You’ll be provided with top of the line fishing gear and fresh bait (frozen or live depending on the trip). Prices include fuel, bait, tackle, and fish cleaning. Just keep in mind your captain and deckhand do work for tips. Bring your coolers (alcohol allowed, no glass), your snacks (no bananas, google it) and you’ll be all set.

Amazing time with 7 year old and 13 year old
We had such an awesome time with Salty Rods Fishing Charter and Captain Bubba! We went out with my 13-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter, and Captain Bubba was so great with the kids. He was patient, easygoing, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and knew what to do. One of the coolest parts was catching our own live bait – the kids thought that was the best thing ever. We ended up catching shark and stingray, which was so exciting for all of us. The whole trip was fun, laid-back, and memorable. Highly recommend booking with Captain Bubba if you want a great day out on the water with your family!

We made the most of a tough bite. We were one of the few boats consistently catching fish. Morning started out slow but as the water got moving we tied into a few finetooth sharks, as that bite slowed we got a report of another bite, moved spots and finished the day off with a good sized eater blacktip. Captain and crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. The captian had a contract he gave me for shark jaw mounting and gave us a restaurant recommendation that needed up being the best food we ate all trip. Salty Rods know their stuff.

Great for beginners!
Captain explained everything, we caught lots of bait fish and that was the most fun for us newbies. Catching a shark was also fun but alot more work and patience. Would definitely recomend to everyone.

Fantastic Trip!
Cpt Bubba was great we are thinking about adopting him into our MC. When fishing was slow he made up for it with his adult humor. Hail to Cpt Bubba! Bubba worked very hard to get us into the action. Even when the bite slowed down it was still a great time. From the Kansas Boys
