Cap put us on the fish but the boat is slow and took a lot of time getting out. Incurred extra cost of 275$ a person over the original 10 that were booked they charged for the children under 12 that didn’t fish much. Only one deckhand was brought on the boat for 18 people he was over worked and complaining. The captain was told weeks prior there would be more than 10. We attempted a spot a 300’ deep most of the rods did not have enough line to go that deep. Overall we caught fish and the trip was good but tensions got high when we were catching fish and/or people had problems due to only having one deckhand. The boat being slow also took up a lot of time getting out and back in. The extra charge per person would have been more understandable had the captain brought on another deckhand. A lot of time was spent reeling up big sharks with all other poles requested out of the water. Would’ve like to see those lines cut so more fishing could’ve been done. It was a good trip cause the fishing was good but the lost time on sharks,having only one deckhand, and the slow boat made the trip frustrating for several people.

We had a great time! We had 7 to 70 year olds and all had fun. AJ, Our deckhand was fantastic.

Had the best time ever. Weather was perfect. Captain Meyer put us on fish quick once he stopped the boat.  His deck mates were very helpful and knowledgeable. My family had such a great time. If we had it to do over we would do a 6 hr minimum but if you can go for a longer time because it goes by quick when you’re having fun! Definitely recommend Trade Winds Charter to anyone!
