Went out for a morning trip with Captain Doug, the Bay was rolling pretty good.ย We tried a few spots with little luck. Captain Doug worked hard for us but it was just not a great day to fish. I would go out with him again . My son did get to catch a Bonnethead shark and was pretty happy.

The weather for our fishing trip was unseasonably cold. Due to the recent storms, there wasnโt a ton of fish activity and Doug did everything in his power to make sure that we would find a spot to catch some fish. He was very humble, knowledgeable, and calming And we would 100% recommend him!

My nephews and I had a great 4 hour trip with Captain Doug.ย We went out in search of mackeral and bonita and hit the jackpot on mackeral.ย We probably walked away with over 25lbs of filets (look up Sicilian style grilled mackeral - delicious).ย We also caught a number of other fish including a few bonita.ย A blast and Captain Doug was great.ย Best charter yet out of Anna Maria Island.
