This is an excellent way to spend the day with the family (especially with young ones) enjoying the inlet activities only accessible by watercraft. Captain Andrew is full of knowledge of the area and great with kids (especially the timid ones). The trip never had a dull moment yet was completely relaxing at the same time. Plus, we got some clams and crabs to take home for dinner. Couldn’t recommend it more and will be making it part of our vacation schedule from now on.

Our family (1 child age 7 and 5 adults) had a great day.  We got to do everything we wanted: digging for clams, finding shells and shark teeth and pulling crab pots. The captain is awesome: great personality and very knowledgeable about everything we did and the history of the area.  We fully enjoyed the day and took home enough crab and clams to feed our extended family of 10.  As my granddaughter said, ‘It was the best day ever.”.

What an unbelievable day! This is an adventure we will all remember. We started our adventure off clamming. We have never done this before and we had a ball! We next went on a nice boat ride to an island for shelling. From there we went to another spot for shark teeth and then to a sand bar to search for sand dollars. Our girls requested to go clamming at the very end so we made one last stop to grab some more! (We ended up with 101 clams, 34 shark teeth and a bag full of big beautiful shells!)

The trip itself is so perfect for families. Our girls are 6 and 3. It kept them entertained with the different activities. We were able to explore the true gifts of Emerald Island. The boat rides were a great break in between to catch a breeze and grab a quick snack. I would highly suggest this for families looking for an adventure!

Captain Andrew is wonderful! He is very easy going and has so much knowledge of the area. He definitely made the trip fun and wanted to make sure we had the trip we were hoping for! He is great with kids and wanting to teach about the things he learned growing up on the beautiful Crystal Coast. I would highly recommend this trip!

First, I appreciated Andrew for communicating before our trip to ensure we picked the best day and had the right expectations.  He was a great captain and tour guide!  Very knowledgeable and took time to explain things and help us have the best experience possible. We didn’t catch the amount of fish that we wanted, but I don’t think he could control that.  Overall, we had a great time and created some lasting memories!  We experienced several “first time” experiences as a family.  Oh, and the weather was absolutely amazing!!  Thanks Andrew! This was one of the best charters we’ve taken. Capt Andrew was awesome with my 9yr old who has a short attention span. He catered to making sure he had a great time. We fished, checked crab pots and learned the local way of digging for clams.  We ate lunch on a remote island and found some cool old whale bones. My son had the best of times on this trip. His grandparents enjoyed the clams that we dug. Capt Andrew made all this possible.  This trip was one my son will never forget.  If you’re looking for a great way to make some awesome memories with your kids, take this trip.
