I took my brother down to Marathon for his bachelor party along with four other friends. We wanted to get into some good fishing… and we found it. Runaway is a beautiful spacious boat, clean, comfortable, with air conditioning. As soon as we got on the boat, we headed directly to the fishing grounds. Spencer put the bait in the water and the lines were tight in a matter of 3 minutes. I’ve never seen anything like it. The only issue was we had to take a break because our arms were tired from catching so much black fin tuna! On the way in from fishing, the crew filleted up some fresh tuna… marinated it in soy sauce and threw in on ice… we had the most fresh sushi one can ask for. Great fishing, great crew, good friends, sushi, cold drinks, and beautiful weather… Capt. Jay and Spencer gave us an experience of a life time and I’m glad they made my brothers bachelor party special for us.

We had a great morning fishing - it was a really chill atmosphere - and we caught a bunch of fish. The boat was super spacious, really clean and a perfect environment for fishing.
The guys were awesome to fish with - they were very friendly, gave great suggestions, always helpful and made sure my son and his friend were taken care of nonstop.

Great Captain and first mate and beautiful boat. Caught about 16 smaller yellowtail snapper and had a lot of fun. Thought the crew could have put a little more creativity/effort into finding fish and trying different techniques to catch them…basically went out to a reef, anchored, chummed the water, and fished in one spot; drifted over patch reefs with lines out on the way in and caught nothing.

We have had a lot of firsts while fishing with Jay. My father and two daughters had their first wahoos, my wife caught her first citation wahoo and her first amberjack and I caught my first African Pompano (see the pic of Fabio and me on the front page). Jay and his mates always work their tails off to put the crew on the fish; no matter what the conditions the sea throws at them. The tackle on this boat is high quality and always maintained to provide the best chance at landing the big one!

Great experience for the kids. The captain and first mate top notch! They made us feel special. They put us on fish and we got tons of yellowtail snappers. Definitely booking them again
