Chartered with Captain Larry for a 3/4 day fishing experience for our family and two friends while down in the Keys on vacation. With four teenage boys - our goal was to have a fun experience and catch mahi … and Captain Larry and his first mate made sure we did so! Two of the teens had never been deep sea fishing and happy to report all had fun and we brought home several mahi and even had fun reeling in a large barracuda. Captain Larry and his first mate were excellent on communication and helped us throughout the day. We had a great time - and had fresh mahi for dinner last night. Thank you.

Out the door by 630 for 7a departure on offshore fishing charter First Choice by Captain Larry out of Islamorada.  On way out to deep sea 20-25 miles out we stopped near Alligator Reef so the first mate (Rick) could cast out for bait.
We trolled on our way out to sea and caught a barracuda.
Captain Larry spotted some birds congregating about 10 miles further and we found our first bit of Mahi Madness - our boat was hooking them as fast as we could put baited hooks in the water and also grabbed a few jacks and other smaller fish we threw back.
Once it slowed down - Captain Larry found another hot spot near a floating plank he rightfully assumed meant bait fish and bigger fish were in the area.  Another round of mahi madness ensued.
First time my son and nephew got to try offshore fishing and they had a day they’ll never forget.
