We caught a few tiny fish because the captain said we needed bait. Then tried 2 other techniques with no bites. The captain and crew said they have been doing this for 3 months and were leaving in November. Not worth $400 for two guys fob. You really only get 1 hour of fishing in with the driving and switching of setups.
Aloha Kristi, we are saddened to hear you did not enjoy our charter! Our captain and crew, while newer to the island, are both experienced fishermen. They have done a great job for us so far and have been catching fish. Unfortunately, our crew is leaving us in November but our captain is here to stay. The reef bottom fishing charter is meant to be fun and you normally catch smaller reef fish on that charter as advertised. The guys mentioned switching gears to troll for a little bit, which we normally do not do, to try to catch larger species in the area. This does take time to switch over the tackle and rods. They said you agreed to try for the larger fish and unfortunately did not hook into one. We know itโs frustrating when large fish are not caught. Perhaps booking a trolling charter in the future could help you target the species you desire.

No enthusiasm and very little to no fishing instruction. Honestly he seemed like he couldnโt be bothered. Crew mate fished instead of assisting the customers. Didnโt catch anything which was fine but would have liked it to be at least fun. Really wanted to like this but it was not a good experience.
