No, not what you are thinking. Captain David set us up during slack tide to bottom fish in Calibogue Sound for possible Cobia or shark which come togetherโฆI gave my wife first hookup and she pulled in a 10 lb Bonnet head shark which gave her all she could handle! We used out going tide to fish creek mouths for Reds but the fist location did not work well with the south wind, so after a little patience Captain David moved us to a north facing creek mouth in May River so the wind would work with us. The current was strong and we threw cut mullet, crab and shrimp. Something took the mullet down but came offโฆa little while later we found the same rod bending hard with the drag screamingโฆ this time we were hooked up! It had to to be a Bull Red or Bull Shark! After a good 15-20 minute battle, a 30 lb Bull Shark was at the end of the line! It was a good fight and another bent rod with screaming drag! We both were happy and Captain David worked hard to make sure we caught fish! A good day on the water!
