This was a great 6 hr. trip. We went to a couple of near shore reefs and Capt. Dave put us on the fish. Cobia bite was great, at times all three of us were on. Blue Fish where plentiful as where the sharks. A nice size Spanish Mackerel will keep us in fish tacos for a couple of days. Definitely recommend Captain Dave. We’ll be back soon.

lots of action. definitely was fun
We had an awesome time with Capt. David! He was super friendly, shared some cool history about Hilton Head, and put us right on the sharks. We caught 10 sharks in 3 hours, from around 2 feet to a 5-foot, 25-pound shark! He was great with my two boys (ages 12 and 16), taking the time to explain things but also stepping back and letting us enjoy the experience without hovering. We had an absolute blast and can't recommend Capt. David enough!

that was pretty fast snd furious 🤪
Captain Dave was friendly and professional! Our family wasn’t looking to catch a specific type of fish so he set us up in a spot where we all caught several sharks ranging from 12” to 3.5 feet. We all had a great time! I would definitely charter with Carolina Rig again.

variety definitely can make fishing fun
Our family took the inshore trip today with Captain David and had a great time!! Captain David was very knowledgeable about the fish, the area and most of all was super kind and helped my husband board the boat and get off the boat! He has a stroke a few years ago and sometimes needs an extra hand and Captain David accommodated!! I highly recommend taking the Caroline rig! We definitely will be back

that was nice to catch s Jack crevelle
Went with my son who is in the Coast Guard in Alaska and so it was fun to hear Capt Dave, a CG veteran swap stories as we enjoyed a leisurely boat ride. We had several pulls but only able to reel in one fish for the short trip. But as the saying goes, "the worst day fishing is better than the best day working"! We enjoyed this immensely!

enjoyed meeting your son and chatting about the USCG tight lines

Captain David used to work for a ferry boat operation with a captain who also ran fishing charters part-time and who asked him to mate with him on those fishing charters. Captain David accepted and they started running full-day charters to the 'Snapper banks'. So, about 40 miles offshore, he learned to bottom fish. It was a fast and furious way to learn but he loved it. He knew that fishing would be a way of life for him from then on. After a couple of years working there, he did a tour in the USCG. Returning to the area, he found myself back doing fishing charters as a mate. After a couple of years on deck, Captain David obtained his captain's license and began running charters.
