I rarely leave reviews but have to be honest, spent a lot of money for this trip and was absolutely disappointing. Charter for 6…only 4 could fish at one time. Well…4 plus the captain. Deckhand was nice but not efficient on this trip. Even the captain commented he was going to need to speed up. Captain got a 22lb red snapper on his own fishing line and as a courtesy, allowed my nephew to reel it onto the boat. The capatin was excited about it and even had us take pictures using his phone with him and the fish. As an afterthought he asked my nephew if he wanted a picture with it. Then he had to take about 10 minutes to fix his own fishing line before we moved to another spot. At this point, I clearly understood we were an ends to a means. The attention to us having a great experience was not the case. Even when my nephew became sick and I said, “he might need a paper towel” the captain thought it funny to reach over with a bloody fish glove as some sort of joke…and no paper towel wad offered. The cleanliness of the boat took precedence over having bait on our line or taking a fish off the hook. I picked this charter because of all the 5 star reviews…I hope our trip was an exception for all those who book it in the future. I have been on countless offshore fishing trips and my brother has been on multiple charters before…we both were more than disappointed with the lack of attention to a great experience for the 6 of us. To Captain Clint, whilst you were very talkative on the ride back in, it was disheartening to me to hear of your “churchgoing” on Sundays and yet you struggled to serve us well…that was our experience.
