SAFTY EQUIPMENT TOTALY INADEQUATE. Capt. tried to skirt around my Son’s use of a life jacket by telling me that since he had turned 12 that day he would not be required to wear a life jacket. I told him that we don’t leave the boathouse without life jackets. He began to search through the lockers of the boat and pulled out reject safety equipment until he found a couple of MARGINALLY acceptable jackets. Capt. Jay gets a “D- “. on adequately providing safety equipment for his customers.

BOAT READYNESS: The deck chairs were clearly in need of repair. All were only marginally affixed to the deck and “rattled and wobbled incessantly and were so unstable it was at times hard to keep one’s seat. On the return to the dock one of the chairs came loose from the deck and I had to hold onto it to prevent it from sliding into my Son sitting in the back of the boat as we raced to the dock at the end of the fishing.
This Capt. needs to get his “Ship” in shape before he contracts to accommodate any more customers.
Jay is a very personable individual and certainly knows Striper fishing at the lake. In a couple of hours we were able to boat 20 -30 nice Stripers
