Booked the 2 hour charter because we weren’t sure how long young kids would last. Captain Marty was very responsive. Asked if we had fish catching preferences, which we did not. He took us about 30 minutes out where the second we dropped lines we started getting bites. Caught about 26 fish total over the course of an hour fishing with 21 of them being keepers. My children loved it! Marty cleaned our catch for us and even gave a few cooking pointers. Would definitely book with him again!

The weather was bad the day before our trip. Marty called letting me know waters could be rough and he didn’t want us to spend money if we wouldn’t enjoy being on the water. We decided to go and it was great. Our captain was extremely helpful with the kids. Great overall experience.

This was the most amazing experience ever. 10/10 is not high enough of a rating. We booked a 6 am fishing trip and a storm rolled in with lighting.  He was honest and upfront and wanted everyone to be safe! He said if we go out once it stops lighting another storm would be right behind it. He was correct!  He put safety before making a buck. We were lucky enough to rebook and go later that afternoon. We caught many fish and had an amazing time. We then took the cleaned fish next door to Tacky Jacks and they cooked the fish. This just completed our amazing experience. Shelby made the best bushwhacker at the bar.  If you are looking for a fishing trip this is the ONLY person I would use. I hope we get to make this trip again. If we do we will book again in a heart beat.

Hot as heck out on the water, but we had a blast.  We caught a lot of Spanish Mackerel and my daughter won the biggest fish bet with the King Mackerel she caught. My son and daughter enjoyed talking with Captain Marty and had fun with him.  He is good with the kiddos and they felt safe with the way he helped with their fishing needs.  They both learned quite a bit about Spanish Mackerel and fishing for them.  I recommended him to anyway who asked/talked to me about our fishing trip or who were inquiring about fishing charters in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area.  We are enjoying a great meal from the catch right now and his recommendation to cook it was spot n.  Delicious!  Marinated in butter and garlic for at least four hours and fried with Zatarain’s fish fry and a touch of lemon added.

Captain Marty was honest and trustworthy. He recommended we delay our trip for better weather and fishing conditions. We did and had a wonderful time with many fish caught and lots of memories. It even impressed a couple of 16 year old boys.
