We booked our trip with Captain David and his son, Hunter on their 38’ Topaz. 

The 7am departure time was easy and all we had to bring was our drinks and food.  The boat is docked at a private residence so parking was easy and the walk to the dock was short. 

We got underway on a warm Thursday with calm winds and clear skies.  The trip to the first artificial reef was easy and we started fishing with live pins and grunts.  The Amberjack bite started quickly and was hot enough to limit out and send several back.  Two big barracudas couldn’t resist Captain Dave’s offerings and Delaney brought those in with a happy struggle.  My 83yo Uncle Gary also reeled in a big Amberjack.  I brought in a big Amberjack while standing up with a spinning rod.  That was a blast!

Later, a slow troll enticed a Mahi-Mahi to gulp down a live pinfish.  Courtney brought it to the boat with confidence.  The final fish of the day was a smallish King Mackerel that Michelle reeled in.

Captain David is a knowledgeable fisherman and a confident skipper.  He put us on fish and took good care of us.  I highly recommend Musicman Charters Sportfishing.  Plan your next offshore adventure with them today!

David gave us a heads up a few hours before arrival that fish weren’t biting very well on the day of our trip, and he went above and beyond to make sure we caught something and had a good time. Overall we caught 4 mackerel, and a blue fish, hooked something else but it broke free, even saw a few porpoises playing behind the boat as we cruised along.

Unfortunately for me I found out that I am prone to seasickness and Capt. David checked in on me throughout the trip and gave me helpful advice for coping with it.

I will definitely be better prepared for my next trip out with him.

Captain Dave and Mate Hunter were outstanding. After 20 minutes we had our first fish. I can honestly after 2 horrible experiences with two other charters I came in with high expectations. Well this guys delivered! Thank you all!

We had the best time with our family and Captain Dave and Carl, the 1st mate. I like how Carl continually cleaned the boat and fish with fresh water to keep the area clean. They are professional and fun to catch with. Highly recommend!!!

Was our first time out on a chartered boat. We booked the 5 hour morning trip had great weather and the fish began hitting the lures as soon as we started trolling along the coast line. Captain Dave and his First Mate Hunter made us feel comfortable and helped us whenever we needed help. Caught mostly Spanish Mackerel and a few Blues. Would recommend this trip for how easy everything was.
