With every aspect of this adventure Captain Nick was everything we could have wanted.  Beginning with pre-trip communication, to every small detail on our trip Nick was terrific.  He was knowledgeable, patient, polite, and personable.  Most important for me on this trip was my grandson having his best day fishing.  Considering, he wants to move to Fla and become a fishing guide, I would say mission accomplished.  I would book again with Captain Nick, and recommend him to anyone.

He knew plenty of really good spots, was very knowledgeable about fishing, had good equipment he knew well, had plenty of bait, was very friendly, and very helpful. Whether you know plenty about fishing or nothing at all, he 100% will teach you something and has the spots that will pretty much guarantee you’ll have a great time!
We easily caught 40-50 fish or more including large reds, snooks, groupers, snappers (got to keep 10 of these), and a couple other species of fish I didn’t remember the name of.
We will for sure be using his charter if/when we got fishing again and if you’re considering going on a charter, do it and use this guy!

We set off at 8 am. The weather conditions were perfect! We got right out to the first spot and got right to fishing. My father-in-law Lowell, my son August and I were excited to be fishing in the beautiful Florida sunshine while on vacation. Lowell caught the first few snook. Unfortunately the snook were out of season so it was just catch and release. Still, a fish that really fights which was a lot of fun to catch. Captain Nick gave us a good amount of time in each spot, but if there wasn’t much going on he’d quickly move us to our next spot. We probably hit 4-5 different spots, one which included an area around some boat docks which is where Lowell and August both caught grouper. In the first 3 hours we probably caught 6 fish, which would have made for a good fishing trip. However, Captain Nick was determined to get us more. With an hour left to fish, Captain Nick said, “we’re in the bottom of the ninth inning, time to make this happen.” He moved us to our final spot and we started to hammer the fish. We probably caught 12-14 more fish! On top of being a great captain, Captain Nick was awesome with my 6 year old son. He took the time to explain anything that August asked. He was patient with August and I feel like he was very committed to giving August a very memorable vacation fishing trip. I would highly recommend Captain Nick to anyone looking to book a charter. I have his number saved and will definitely be getting ahold of him next time we’re down here on vacation from the cold northeast Ohio winters. 5 star charter for sure! My girlfriend and I booked a half day inshore trip with Captain Nick end of July “23 and we had a fantastic day. My girl caught her first fish which was cool but we also caught a bunch of mangrove snapper, a couple snook and believe it or not a 25” gag grouper! Nick was on top of everything for us and kept us hooked up all day. Pro TIp: Make sure to let him know what you are looking for out of your day, i.e. what you would like to catch etc. as he is very knowlegable and will do everything he can to put you on it. I will definitely be booking his boat again.

My mom and I had a great time with Captain Nick, he was so knowledgeable and eager for us to enjoy ourselves.  The day may have started slow but we ended with a big bang.  Captain Nick found a spot near oyster beds and we were reeling in fish after fish, it was so much fun.  I would definitely recommend Captain Nick for anyone looking for an enjoyable time out on the water.
