Myself and my girlfriend decided to embark on this trip after having a look online & finding Marcel was in the same town & a very reasonable price. Marcels communication was fast & he gave the exact location over whatsapp after booking. We got there nice and early as we didnt know how hard the boat would be to find ( it was easy enough! )
The bites were slow on the day which is fine, all a part of fishing - but both myself and my girlfriend caught a Barracuda each which was fantastic, fantastic to be able to go back with a great picture in the memory bank.
I used my novice Spanish when speaking with Marcel and he was very understanding and i felt he slowed down so i could understand too which i appreciated.
Overall a fantastic trip and we would absolutely 100% use Marcel again if we return, seemed a very knowledgable & capable captain!

Was a little apprehensive as there had not been many reviews but due to the really reasonable pricing we went ahead & booked a half day trip.
From the start there was brilliant communication & rapid replies to messages we sent.
We had booked a private 4 hour fishing trip for 4 people. We had about 6 rods out with different bait on & caught within the first 15 minutes. Initially there were quite a few catches of small tuna & when we went thru a quite patch the captain was pulling in the lines & changing bait to give us the best opportunity to catch.
We then caught 2 great Mahi Mahi before finishing off with more tuna. Approximately 14 fish caught in total.

Marcel went above and beyond to get us some fish. We had a great morning fishing with Marcel using all his tricks to catch fish. We caught two barracuda. Another one snapped the line. Marcel helps with travel arrangements to and from. We were early and Marcel was ready to go. For the money I don’t think you could find a better Captain. If you are going to Bayahibe and want to fish he is the man to get.

I Booked a half-day charter with my wife, daughter and nephew out of Bayahibe since our resort was just up the road at Dreams. I didn’t want to go all the way to Punta Cana. Reading all of the good reviews I am glad we did.
Marcel communicated with me from booking until we met at the marina in Bayahibe and we departed a little early. Lines were in the water pretty much out of port. The bite that day was slow, but having fished all of my life I understand that. The crew worked hard and we did manage to catch smaller mahi and a blue fin.
After we returned, I asked about a place to cook the fish we caught for a fresh lunch. Bar Perla blu which is yards from the boat dock. It was a fantastic recommendation.
The value of this charter should not be underrated. He has a very good price point and delivers a good product. I have spent four times this amount on half-day charters and struck out. That’s why it is called fishing and not catching.

Reservé un contrato de medio día con mi esposa, hija y sobrino de Bayahibe desde que nuestro complejo estaba en el camino de los Sueños. No quería ir hasta Punta Cana. Leyendo todas las buenas críticas que me alegro de haber hecho.
Marcel se comunicó conmigo desde la reserva hasta que nos conocimos en el puerto deportivo de Bayahibe y nos fuimos un poco temprano. Las líneas estaban en el agua casi fuera de puerto. La mordida de aquel día fue lenta, pero habiendo pescado toda mi vida lo entiendo. La tripulación trabajó duro y logramos atrapar mahi más pequeño y una aleta azul.
Después de regresar, pregunté por un lugar para cocinar el pescado que pescamos para un almuerzo fresco. Bar Perla blu que está a metros del muelle de barco. Fue una recomendación fantástica.
El valor de esta carta no debe subvalorarse. Tiene un buen precio y ofrece un buen producto. He gastado cuatro veces esta cantidad en cartas de medio día y me he deshecho. Por eso se llama pesca y no captura.
