Starting out of Los Melones, you and Captain Marcel Brito will embark on offshore waters and have an exciting chase for various top-class species that will test your angling skills. Captain Marcel is a third-generation angler who's lived on the water all his life. He's eager to introduce you to offshore fishing and help you reel in a great catch. Join him aboard and make memories fishing in the Dominican Republic!
Your adventure will take place on a 24' Arc Boats MFG performance fishing boat. It fits up to 4 guests, runs on a 250 HP Cummins 4-cylinder engine, and uses modern navigation electronics. The boat features a first mate, has got a flybridge, and is equipped with a fighting chair, an ice-box, and a multimedia system.
By trolling offshore waters, your group and the crew will be chasing Blue Marlin, Albacore Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Great Barracuda, King Mackerel, and Bonito. Kids of 7 and older can join your trip.
Captain Marcel provides all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, fishing licenses, as well as drinks. Before you depart, just make sure to bring any food you like.

Before we even arrived, our captain went above and beyond by arranging a taxi from our resort, making everything so easy and stress-free. The fishing was unforgettable—we caught mahi-mahi, and the highlight of the day was landing an incredible 250-pound blue marlin that took over an hour to reel in! Throughout the fight, he was patient, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable, helping us every step of the way. He also kept us supplied with drinks, made sure we were comfortable, and genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. We can’t thank him enough for making it so memorable. We highly recommend booking with him

3/4 Day Trip on December 5, 2025 • 3 adultsCaptain Marcel was very knowledgeable and works hard to find the fish. We were able to land 3 nice Wahoo, while two other storng hits were able to escape, one by bending the hook and another by being able to spit out the hook. Fishing did get a bit slow in the mid morning but once we found the fish it got intense! Our group decided to come in a little early as well and Captain Marcel was flexable to our changing needs throughout the day. Afterwards we were able to get the fish cleaned and led us to a local restaurant to have it prepared. Such an awesome experience and day. If you want to get a real deal fishing experience Captain Marcel and Elimar Fishing is place to use!

His hospitality is the best I’ve ever seen on a fishing charter, he had an amazing stocked cooler, Bluetooth for music, and a very comfortable ride for all anglers!! He will be my captain again when I come back next year!!

Unfortunately, we lost three more mahi mahi. At the beginning, a wahoo also bit. We had a lot of fun. Marcel also had various drinks on board for us to help ourselves to. We recommend Elimar Fishing Tours. It was a great experience.

Die Tour sollte laut Internetseite 299,99 Dollar kosten, so habe ich es verstanden. Zum Abschluss der Tour sollten wir aber 352,00 Dollar bezahlen. Wir haben uns dann auf 340,00 Dollar geeinigt. Angeblich ist die Internetseite nicht eindeutig formuliert. Die Taxifahrt vom Hotel Catalonia zum Hafen Bayahibe kostete jeweils 10 Dollar.

Captain Marcel Brito comes from a long line of fishermen – his father and grandfather were both fishermen in international waters, and Captain Marcel has followed in their footsteps. He has lived on the water since he was a little boy and loves the fact his job lets him stay there every day. The captain loves teaching his customers the joys of offshore fishing and seeing them reel in their dream catch. Personable and friendly, he's always doing the necessary to ensure the customer is having fun. Capt. Marcel may not speak a lot of English, but he speaks the universal language of landing huge Marlin straight on his deck!
