I booked my trip for 2 a few weeks out for a fun birthday trip to port Aransas. Captain Randy was prompt, polite, and professional in getting us a welcome letter, answering any questions I had not only I regards to the trip but a few about taking the ferry and getting to the island.

Captain Randy was waiting for us at fisherman’s wharf when we arrived, we where lucky enough to have his wife Amy helping as deck hand that day and I cannot tell you how much effort and energy was put into making our day special.

We had a heat advisory in effect and Randy asked if I wanted to head out in the morning instead of the afternoon and we quickly took him up on that! We went to so many amazing fishing spots, my wife has a shrimp allergy and Randy took extreme care in regards to this. Bleaching her poles and entire boat prior to us heading out. We haven’t spent a ton of time in the gulf and we expressed our interest in the wild life and land around us. Randy took extra time to show us incredible spots, an amazing light house and sunken ships. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins and sea turtles and caught a red fish. We had a well stocked cooler with beverages courtesy of captain Randy and even on a hot day we had a blast on the water! We couldn’t recommend anyone else and will definitely be booking another trip the next

Randy is a great guide and took real good care of us. We started out to the end of the jetties and the water became very rough. He immediately switched to plan #2 and we went inshore. Fished for trout for a while. When he heard the swells had died down somewhat he immediately took us out to the end of the jetties. He put us on the wright spot and we started catching bull reds. My wife became sea sick so Randy, being the great guide he is, immediately took my wife back to the marina. Then took me back out to the end of the jetties. When the trip was over Randy stayed with us until the fish were cleaned and offered to help load the cooler in the truck. Randy made this a great trip for me and my wife.

Cap’n Randy is an amazing person and an amazing guide. Even tho we did not catch as much as we wanted this morning I will be a return customer in the future. I’ve been out with Cap’n Randy in the past and have caught my limit on several species of fish around these Port A waters. Cap’n Randy worked his butt off trying to put us on fish this morning and I can appreciate that. He was very patient with my brother-n-law and father-n-law as they do not have much experience fishing. I highly recommend Cap’n Randy to anyone looking for good family fun. Tightlines!
