I spend a lot of time on charter fishing boats. I won’t even comment on the fishing. My review is about the boat, it was terrible. Filthy and in disrepair. 1, They tried to anchor in 75 feet of water with 100 feet of anchor rode and didn’t understand why it wouldn’t hold. 2, the windless was broken, I’m assuming for a long time before we boarded the boat 3, the windshield was so filthy you couldn’t see through it 4, the rest of the boat was just as filthy 5, they advertised a head, it’s broken. Piss over the side, if you have to do anything else you’re outta luck 6, no passenger seats. There was one folding chair. There was four of us

We appreciate the review and after talking to the captain, you guys were offered bean bags (the most comfortable and safest) way for clients to relax while underway, they were refused. The windshield was covered with spray from the poor sea conditions, and the head was usable and I’ve not gotten a straight answer on why the captain told y’all that. My guess is laziness and will be addressed. Out of all of the things, I can’t imagine why you would care about our windlass being broken. Did they make you go pull the anchor? I wouldn’t use one on any boat or our boats in that depth of water. General displeasure in a trip is understandable, especially when the fishing is tough, but that will be the one that bewilders me.

Pay the extra to go off shore in federal waters. Also book with reputable Captain owner/operator. Has more pride for boat, equipment and makes every effort to insure a successful trip.
It’s difficult to recommend a guide when you don’t catch one palatable fish but other guides and individuals caught several. Targeted red snapper. The boat was subpar for 6 people.
Unfortunately the distance that the snapper have been from the jetties north or south weren’t achievable on a 5 hr trip. The guys did the best they could within the confines of the trip that was booked. We can’t control the fish, only the boat.
