We asked Eric to take us to a pretty remote island on Lake of the Woods to inter my parents’ ashes then work our way home fishing as we went. He was incredibly accommodating and helped us with our unusual request and then still got us our limit of walleye before we made our way home catching some bass and northerns for fun as well. Mom and Dad would have loved the trip, and it was the perfect send off for them. We had a great day, and Eric was a fantastic guide to take us.

Very fun boys trip, captain Melv was able to keep up with our humor making it fun and as if he was apart of our group. He made us lunch which was great and gave us plenty of time to stop and swim off the boat. Fishing was really good the the morning but afternoon was more about cruising the lake. Great outing and definitely would go again

Super hot calm day made fishing tougher but the captain was still able to get us on a fair number of fish including some bigger walleye. Very knowledgeable about the lake and friendly. Very thankful the captain brought a Bimini cover for the boat to protect us from the sun for a fun day out on the water. Definitely recommend

Awesome trip, caught a ton of walleye that Capt. Melv cleaned up our limits for us. Second day out we targeted musky and managed to get a 44 inch and a 47 inch plus a bunch of pike. Highly recommend and will be definitely booking again next time we’re in Canada!

Our family of four had a great time with Captain Melv on Lake of the Woods! We met at a lauch in Kenora and went out from there. He showed us what to do and we caught a variety of fish. We got our limit of wallaye, and also got a bunch of small mouth bass, pike, and a few perch and sauger. Melv was knowledgeable and easy to get along with. His shore lunch was very tasty!  We would suggest him for your fishing trip!
