We went on a fishing charter with Mr. Johnson, from the get go we noticed little to no effort from the captain. There were four of us fishing and only had two poles out while trying to catch yellow-tail. We were having to bait our own poles and throw oats/chum. We then headed out to hopefully catch something bigger, for two hours we trolled in the same spots with no luck, when we asked the captain if he could take us to catch a sailfish, or anything at that point, he said no. We continued to troll until our time was up. Super disappointing experience nonetheless as we were hoping to catch something more than some small yellow-tail. At the end they filleted the fish for us and sent us on our way, the filet job ended up being one of the worst we had seen. Each filet need to be deboned again and one of the filets was left with the skin on. I would not recommend this charter if you are looking to catch anything other than yellow-tail.

Deck hand was a great guy hope he does well. Unfortunately one of our members got sea sick as it was a rough day. There was no accommodation of changing up the trip to be in shore, or even offering Dramamine. Unfortunately our 6 hour trip lasted 2 hours and we still paid the full price. O well, it is what it is.

The only good thing about this charter was the mate. The boat was in bad shape - we only caught two mahi and were out all morning to 2pm. On the way in, Captain Paul said it was a terrible fishing day all around, no one was catching fish. When we got back to the dock, every other boat had 12 - 30 + fish (mahi, grouper, tuna, etc.).
