Our foursome could not have had a better, more fun fishing experience.  For my husband who is an avid fresh water fisherman, he enjoyed catching fish he never caught before and learning the names.  He said he could put on own bait and take off fish, the captain said, “No, I’ll do it”.  For us novices, sister-in-law, brother and me, the captain was so helpful, patient, and enjoyed laughing with us as we did some “crazy” things being novices.  I would highly recommend Aaron with Sun King charters for an awesome adventure on the water.  We even caught enough fish for our dinner at Island Fish Co.

Booked with Aaron after seeing the reviews and the type of fishing we wanted to do.  We (me and my girl) originally booked a morning trip but conditions were not favorable so Aaron reached out to see if we would be available the next day, which we were. How very considerate!
From the moment we met Aaron we knew we had made the right choice.  His welcoming and easy going demeanor was evident from the start.  Everything was well organized which as avid boaters and fishermen from the Northeast we recognized and greatly appreciated.  Aaron put us on the fish right away but he felt we could do better and moved on to some patch reefs where we caught everything from Mangrove Snapper to King Mackerel.  We released a ton of fish as we only kept what we were going to eat, which is our normal practice.
Again, as avid fishermen and boaters I would without a doubt recommend Capt. Aaron!

It’s the second time captain Aaron took us out for a sunset cruise and it feels less like a chartered tour than going out with a friend. While did no fishing I was impressed by how proudly he speaks about his guests’ catches and he got us convinced that next time we’ll not just lazing around but try our hands at fishing.
The friend I took yesterday called the two hours the “absolute highlight” of her 10 day visit to the US and my 85 year old dad I brought along in October still raves about the day.
The boat is new and pristine and has all the comforts you might need! Definitely a must do when you are in the keys!

Captain Aaron is a fish whisperer. We were looking to hit the patch reefs to avoid some of the chop and found Sun King. Perfect choice! Aaron got us out in good shape, found the fishes, drew them up with his special recipe, and it was nonstop action. No time to crack a beer. We pulled plenty yellowtail keepers and all sorts of others we either returned to the ocean or fed to a persistent bull shark. Landed/released a small mako, pulled a strawberry grouper off the drop, a filefish, lane snapper, a mullet, etc. Big Fun on Aaron’s new boat. Saved the beer for after we were back and the fish cleaned. Quite the feast!

We will rebook and bring all our guests (this time we took our inlaws from Iowa out; we live in the Keys). Go Aaron!

Got a 4 hour morning reef trip for me and my girlfriend. Capt. Aaron and mate Byron were great from the start. They got us on the Reef and on the fish fast and we were happy to be heading home with plenty of fish for cooking.

Beyond giving options of what to fish and constant bite / fish on ... it was an easy going and welcoming vibe on the boat. Instruction and help, great conversations and music… An all around fun and great experience.

Highly recommend getting out with Capt Aaron! And we will definitely be booking again!
