Overall disappointment. The captain was a nice guy and very helpful but the trip started at 7 and it was 8:30 before we dropped the first line and only went 9 miles off shore according to the captain. After picking us up he had to stop to get ice and then attempt to catch bait fish which he did not. We spent 2 1/2 hours basically feeding fish. We only caught 4 that were keepers and got less than ten in the boat overall. The tackle we used also seemed to be a lot lighter than what we have used in past trips with other captains. He seemed to be satisfied that we caught our limit of red snapper (4) but thatโs all we fished for. First time weโve been with a captain that pretty much just stayed in the same area when we werenโt catching fish. As I said Captain Corey seemed to be a great guy but at a hundred and fifty dollars per fish we will not use him again.
